Women's Fellowship
The Purpose of the Women's Fellowship is to enlist the women of the church in a fellowship of worship, education, service and giving to undergird the programs of Wake Chapel Christian Church, with a special emphasis on Missions.

Members of our Women's Fellowship are divided into small groups known as "circles" which meet monthly at the home of one of the members or in the church fellowship hall. Currently, three circles meet: the Dorcas-Ruth, Esther and Maranatha Circles. New circles are added as the size of the Fellowship increases.

Recipe for a Circle
1 cup Praise 1 cup Love
1 cup Prayer 1 cup Help
1 cup Fellowsip 3 cups "giggles"

In a circle we carefully blend all ingredients together, adding each member's needs with kindness to others. Fold in willingness to serve and flavor with promise. Pour this into our hearts so gladly we serve.

The Dorcas-Ruth Circle
Dorcas - Is a personal name meaning "gazelle". In the Bible, she was a Christian woman of Joppa who was known for her charitable works, KJV, (Acts 9:36).
Ruth - Was an ancestor of David and Jesus, and also refers to the biblical book which tells the story of the reversal fortunes for Ruth and her mother-in-law, Naomi.

The Dorcas-Ruth Circle meets the first Thursday of each month. We have several guest speakers for our programs. In December we meet at Windsor Point to sing Christmas Carols and afterwards have a Christmas celebration with a covered dish dinner. In February, we make Valentine baskets for our shut-ins. Each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, we go to Charlotte to volunteer at Operation Christmas Child.

The Esther Circle
Esther was a Jewish Queen of Persia who brought deliverance to her people. Her remembrance is a reminder to us that God is very much behind the scense of our lives always guiding and controlling according to His purposes. As in Esther’s life, coincidences are not accidents, but God’s way of demonstrationg to us that He is present and having His way in our lives.

The Esther Circle meets the second Thursday of each month a the home of one of our circle members. We do studies of Christian books, much the same as a book club. We are also involved in church and community serce projects, including the Upward Basketball program, sponsoring an under previleged family at Christmas nd by supporting Operation Christmas Child.

The Maranatha Circle
Maranatha (Mahr uh na’thuh) is actually two Aramaic words. Dividing it as Maranatha means, “Our Lord, come.” Maranatha means, “Our Lord has come.” It reveals the expectant hope in shich early Christians lived, watching for the imminent return of Christ.

The Maranatha Circle meets the 1st Thursday after the 1st Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Group meeting involves: lesson on Women of the Bible. Program: Christian Life Enhancement books by popular authors. Outreach opportunities: Monthly meeting, Upward Basketball, Operation Christmas Child, Meals on Wheels Lunch at Thanksgiving, families in need at Christmas and a Great Women’s Fellowship.
