Our greater concern than last night's snow is tonight's overnight temperature. The forecasted low for tonight is in the high teens and will likely re-freeze whatever melts today making for possibly dangerous roadways, driveways, and parking lots.

Considering these conditions, Wake Chapel encourages its church family to worship via our livestream tomorrow.  All Sunday school classes will meet via Zoom only. If you wish to attend Sunday morning worship in-person please use your own better judgement.

We will wait to decide about Awana and Youth Group meetings until tomorrow afternoon, as warmer temps may allow us more options.

During these past few weeks, the routine of our lives have changed. I’m hearing that some of you have more time on your hands, while others of you are busier than ever before. By necessity most of us have needed to learn new skills, say in technology, to keep ourselves connected. And perhaps we’ve also rediscovered a few low-tech standbys, like puzzles or board games, to help us pass the time. Maybe you’re brushing up on your cooking skills. Maybe you’re reading a wonderful book. Maybe your kids are driving you nuts. Maybe you’re lonely....Keep Reading

After the Black Plague, rampant in Europe, left their small village, the grateful people of Oberammergau promised God that they would show their gratitude by putting on a Passion Play....Keep Reading

Upward Volunteers Needed!

If you're interested in serving in our Upward Basketball program this season, we could use your help as scorekeepers. We want to put two scorekeepers at a time at each station, so you'll never be doing this alone. This is a great opportunity for you to serve with someone you know or be paired up someone new. It's also a simple way for students to earn service hours. Whichever way you look at it, you'd be doing a great service for our Upward ministry...Keep Reading

The date for the “Fellowship Dinner and Worship Time” at Siloam Missionary Homes and delivery of the Thanksgiving boxes will be on November 15, 2018. Your gifts in the past have made it possible for the missionary families to receive everything needed for a complete Thanksgiving meal. In addition, your generosity has helped place items in the Dad’s Store. Items for the store might include various canned goods, paper products and toiletries....Keep Reading
