On April 9th at 7:00 p.m. the Wake Chapel Laymen will enjoy our traditional "end of the season fish fry" one month early. Due to scheduling issues, our chicken and ribs barbecue has been moved to our May meeting. You don't want to miss this wonderful meal and the fellowship of our laymen's group. Following our meal we will continue with "Dare to Be Uncommon."
"When you take a few moments to be quiet and spend time with God, you will be pleasantly surprised at how He will lessen your worries about tomorrow and release you from the breathless pace of the world’s ‘urgent’ priorities for today in order to make room for His priorities.” – Tony Dungy
Wake Chapel Laymen have been working their way through the Tony Dungy "Dare to Be Uncommon" DVD series. In April we will complete the fourth and final session of the character-building series. In Dare to Be Uncommon, Tony personally instructs participants on the importance of character in attaining success on and off the field and challenges you to put what they learn into action.
Plan to attend and bring a youngster! The laymen meetings are open and informal, providing an excellent opportunity for members new, and not so new, to become better acquainted.
