And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road; when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. - Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Youth ministry is ministry for youth and by youth, but it also has another aspect that is just as important to ensuring its success. That is ministering to the parents and to the family as a whole. By incorporating the family into youth ministry, the probability of ensuring healthy spiritual activity long after high school sky-rockets. We try to fulfill our goal in having a family based youth ministry by giving parents opportunities to participate in the youth ministry, keeping parents informed with what we are teaching the students and planning events for the whole family. Now, we have something even more helpful for you.

I am very happy to announce that this summer we will be hosting a special Family Summer Series for youth and parents. My goal is to equip youth and parents with the wisdom and resources they need to thrive in all areas of their life. On Sunday nights (5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.) from July 20 through August 17, we will be welcoming guest speakers to address the parents and students as they split into two separate groups. These will be lessons specifically geared to support and motivate your family to healthier faith, finances, evangelism, career development, marriage, integrity, unity, and more. Check the July Chapel Chimes for a detailed list of speakers and topics. Invite a friend, welcome your neighbor, and bring your spouse!

Take a look at this group of All-Star guests we have coming to speak to you. Feel free to invite your friends. This is something that a lot of people can benefit from!
