"When you take a few moments to be quiet and spend time with God, you will be pleasantly surprised at how He will lessen your worries about tomorrow and release you from the breathless pace of the world’s ‘urgent’ priorities for today in order to make room for His priorities.” – Tony Dungy
Wake Chapel Laymen met December 11 at 7:00 PM for a meal and heard the first of four character-building sessions with retired NFL coach Tony Dungy, from his DVD series entitled Dare To Be Uncommon. This four-session DVD-ROM curriculum will inspire and energize you with insight straight from respected Super Bowl–winning coach Tony Dungy! In Dare to Be Uncommon, Tony personally instructs participants on the importance of character in attaining success on and off the field and challenges you to put what they learn into action.
The second session in the series will be shown at the January meeting. The Dare To Be Uncommon series is interesting and appropriate for all ages, but especially for young men and teenage boys. Plan to attend and bring a youngster! The laymen meetings are open and informal, providing an excellent opportunity for members new, and not so new, to become better acquainted.
