Please pray for our 32 Short Term Missionaries.

We have 10 adults and 22 youth who have decided to commit to serve on a week-long short term mission project through Student Life (July 9-13) in Lynchburg, VA.

About Student Life

Since 1993, Student Life has served churches through inter-denominational Christian summer camps, conferences, and resources. We strive to support your student ministry with Gospel-centered experiences that transform students into devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Student Life exists to help people know Christ through His Word. We believe God's Word is relevant and instructive for the challenges students face today. Our camps inspire students through engaging worship, sound biblical teaching, and community-building in small group Bible studies.

We believe discipleship best occurs within the context of the local church. Relationships formed at camp between students and their leaders serve as a catalyst to discipleship that continues long after camp ends. We would be honored to have the opportunity to partner with your group to make Jesus known in the lives of your students.

Our Wake Chapel Missionaries will be serving at one of two locations.

Jubilee_centerSome will lead activities, crafts, share testimonies and the gospel in the Jubilee Family Development Center. Jubilee was founded in 1999 in response to the community’s overwhelming need for a program that would target at-risk youth and offer them programs and services to help develop their academic and social skills. Every day Jubilee programs and volunteers are leading young people into futures filled with hopes and goals. They are loved, tutored, mentored, challenged, and motivated as they strive to overcome many obstacles.

LGH-ResizedThe other half of us will be providing much appreciated work for a deep cleaning at the Liberty Godparent Home. The Liberty Godparent Home (LGH) is a residential maternity home providing housing, education, medical care, and counseling for single, pregnant young women. LGH understands that women in crisis pregnancy situations face emotional, financial, legal, physical, and social hardships. By helping them deal with the difficulties, the LGH offers the necessary support to meet their needs.a home and resource center for pregnant or mothering teenagers.
