How real Heaven was to so many of the saints of bygone days! Think of the songs that have long been a part of our heritage.

When We All Get to Heaven
In the Sweet By and By
I'll Fly Away
When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder
We’re Marching to Zion
Ring the Bells of Heaven

The heart longs for an assurance of a blessed, immortal place where the saints will be at home with the Savior; where sin, disappointment, human failure, heartache, disease, and death are forever ended.

In recent years the cults and the " 'ISMS" have been the source of much confusion about heaven. There has also been a great decrease in the preaching about heaven.

We need to think about Heaven far more than we do. We should rejoice because our names are written there. This world is not my home to the Christian. Here we are only sojourners. Our citizenship is in heaven. Our treasures should be in heaven and our thoughts should dwell longingly on heaven - our eternal home.
