From the Pastor“And if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15

“And they said; ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus' and you shall be saved; you and your household.'" Acts 16:31

Never has there been a greater assault on the God-ordained home and family than in our day. There is an increasing attack from every direction against the Christian home. Government, education, entertainment, business, labor – the whole of our society seems to be united in this evil undermining of the home.

Divorce is rampant in our day. The problem is really in wrong and poorly conceived marriages. A home begun with the wrong partner will have hard going. Many young people today never really determine to make their marriage work. "Others get out of their marriages by the divorce route, so why not me?" Some folks reason in this manner. The courts, laws, and lawyers, in some cases, even make divorce easy and desirable.photoc

As your pastor, I implore you to set a good and godly example by determining, by God's grace, to build a holy and happy Christ-centered home. Shut off the TV, get your hymn book and Bible, and gather your family for family worship in your home. It will not be easy. It never has been so. But neither you nor your children will regret such experience in time or eternity. Let me press upon you the reading of Corinthians 13; Ephesians 5:21-6:4, and other related Scriptures. God, save our homes!

Jesus is coming – perhaps today!
