pastorpen3November is a special time of the year. It is a season when even the calendar reminds us to give thanks. Gone are the days when the church would heartily sing, "Count Your Blessings." Perhaps we have become too sophisticated for that old hymn. Nonetheless, it contains a wonderful and much needed reminder for us today.

When you are discouraged; thinking all is lost.
Count your many blessings name them one by one;

Do not be discouraged; God is over all
Count your many blessings angels will attend;
Help and comfort give you to your journeys end.

Count your many blessings; name them one by one;
Count your many blessings; see what God hath done.
