We thank the Lord

From the Pastor"He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me." Psalm 50:23a

The desire of God’s great heart is that His people be characterized by thankfulness. His invitation is forever “Come ye thankful people come…” Someone observed, “Many people observe on Thanksgiving Day and 364 days complaining.” If and wherever that is true - shame on those folks! Let’s reverse those figures. If we must complain, then let’s crowd all our grumbling into one day and celebrate 364 days of thanksgiving. That’s when people will see our good works, our love and appreciation for each other and for all those things God has bountifully supplied and then they will glorify our Father who is in heaven.

We have so much to be thankful for, don’t we? Our country, our freedom, our salvation, our forgiveness for sin, our assurance, our blessed hope of Jesus’ return, our guarantee of an eternity with our Savior, our families, our homes, our friends, our church, our church family, - the list is endless.

I thank God for you. I look forward to Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings. Of all the days of the week, those are my favorites. My soul is blessed and my heart delights in our church family being together. Thank you for your faithfulness.

You are on my heart and in my prayers. I love you and I earnestly pray for each one a Happy Thanksgiving.

With gratitude in my heart to the Lord for you!

“…He did good and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.” Acts 14:17
